A snapshot of your key responsibilities as a Transition Manager would be:

 

·       Ensure all new/updated services being transitioned into Operations follow operational readiness procedures and has a support model agreed by both the Business and Service owners, including any third party external vendors.

·       Ensure all projects follow our change and release processes and submit all expected inputs to these processes, documentation, meetings, training.

·       Ensure all training and support documentation provided by projects receive the appropriate sign off.

·       Work closely and collaborate with the project work stream leads to ensure a smooth transition of new/updated services into Operations. Manage service resourcing on projects ensuring it is adequate for the demand; manage contractors as required to complete project tasks, escalating any issues as necessary to the Service Transition Manager.

·       Attend and contribute to all relevant project meetings for projects you have been assigned as Service Lead ensuring operational and release management processes are adhered to and projects go live without issue. 

 

The successful candidate will work on one or more projects/teams that are at various stages in their lifecycle and will be required to produce some or all of the following deliverables:

·       High Level and Detailed Requirements Documents covering both functional and non-functional requirements.

·       Management of operational readiness process in assigned projects.

·       Management of OAT.

·       Stakeholder management between projects, operations and wider bank.

·       Seamless delivery of projects into operations.

·       Other deliverables as required depending on the initiative.

 

Requirements:

 

·       Candidates must have in excess of 7 years’ recent Transition Manager experience.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

·       7 years’ experience working on IT projects

·       7 years of experience working in the financial sector

·       7 years’ experience of stakeholder management

·       7 years years of experience of working in a highly regulated environment

·       Experience of working in the public sector

 

Candidates must have the:

·       Ability to work in a high pressure environment and balancing conflicting priorities

·       Confidence to manage conflict, provide push back and challenge project stakeholders to protect the live environments

·       Experience of identifying and managing risks

·       Build and manage highly effective relationships with projects, sponsors and stakeholders.

·       Working with multi-disciplined teams and individual resources particularly in IT related areas.

·       Liaising with relevant IT Service and Operations Teams to support project deliverables.
