As a Web Design Manager, you will lead the user centric web design of a new internal system providing multiple services and tools for our users.
A snapshot of your key responsibilities:
· Design, test and optimise intuitive and visually appealing website layouts, navigation, graphics, and user interfaces to enhance the users experience.
· Create and execute design plans, user personas, goals and user journeys.
· Lead the design process by creating style guides wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to present design concepts and for use by the delivery teams.
· Implement best practices in web design, including usability and accessibility.
· Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
· Liaise with business and IT stakeholders such as Product Owners, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers and QA
· As the opportunity arises provide technical advice and guidance in solution design.
· Creation of graphic and media essentials using media applications.
· Management of site design and aesthetics, and maintenance and publication of style guides etc.
· Management of websites in the creation of user-friendly and interactive design.
· Other job duties may include programming not limited to: HTML/JavaScript/CSS, or equivalent.
Requirements:
· Minimum 7+ years professional experience in web design and delivery
· A diploma/degree qualification
· Strong understanding of web design principles, including layout, typography, colour theory, and user experience.
· Ability to wireframe and showcase ideas through tools like Balsamiq, Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or Uizard.
· Knowledge of responsive design techniques and frameworks is a plus.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
