The SharePoint Developer will work closely with Digital Transformation team and wider Department to understand the business processes and business requirements and develop more efficient ways of working.

 

A snapshot of your key responsibilities:

 

·        Application support, administration and development on SPO and Azure .Net Platforms, including existing applications.

o   Resolve SharePoint or programming issues for the development team.

o   Provide support, advice and guidance to the internal team as required.

o   This may include working as part of a team to identify business requirements, design and test, enhance and rollout SharePoint projects.

o   Work with Project Managers to communicate with various stakeholders in order to ensure optimal commitment from stakeholders for project.

·        Azure AD connectivity support and maintenance.

·        Develop Microsoft Power Platform for the Department - Power Apps, Power BI, & Power Automate predominantly.

o   Integration with Department ICT applications

o   Integration with other Application Frameworks to be used by Department

o   Consider and implement Data Management approach

·        Innovation and demonstration of new technologies:

o   Approaches and methodologies that would both complement and improve on the Department's SharePoint, .Net and other application frameworks.

·        Knowledge transfer and sharing in relation to SPO:

o   Microsoft Power Platform

o   Azure .Net Platform

o   Governance and management approach for SPO

o   Azure/SPO administration

o   Innovation/new technologies/platforms

·        Documenting of each application and system development.

·        Project Management of each application development

·        Regular reporting to the Project Manager and ICT Division senior management on project progress.

o   engage in timely communications with the Business-led Project Team to ensure progress is as predicted

o   identify issues and risks at the earliest opportunity, and

o   resolve or escalate issues as appropriate

 

 

Requirements:

 

·        7+ years of experience as SharePoint Developer (with .Net experience)

·        Must have a MCTS qualifications for SharePoint Administration and/or SharePoint Development in SharePoint Online.

·        Must have a Project Management Certification

·        Extensive experience bringing public facing solutions from initial conception to delivery using SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Dataverse, Canvas apps, model-driven apps and Power Pages that are responsive, accessible and support dual language (Irish/English).

·        Experience in the administration of SharePoint Online and Azure.

·        Significant experience migrating data and functionality of legacy systems such as Access databases to the SharePoint/Power Platform environment.

·        Experience eliciting requirements from non-technical business units.

·        Extensive experience working in a similar technical environment with Business Analysts, Database Architects, Web Developers, Project Managers, etc.

·        Have extensive experience migrating legacy on premise solutions and manual processes (e.g. Access databases) to SharePoint Online and MS Power Platform using a combination of Canvas apps, Model-driven apps, public facing Power pages…

·        Have experience bringing SharePoint Online/Power Platform solutions through the full development lifecycle.

·        Have experience developing proof of concepts to demonstrate the effectiveness of the SharePoint Online/Power Platform.
