Due to continued growth, we are currently hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our client. emagine is a high-end professional services consultancy and solutions firm specialising in providing business and technology services to clients in all sectors.

We are looking for experience in Python programming and Bicep for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within hybrid Azure environments. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

 

A snapshot of your key responsibilities:

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scripts using Bicep to automate Azure resource provisioning.

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python.

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines.

  • Monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure performance and costs.

  • Network design and configuration in a hybrid environment, including Microsoft landing zone hub-spoke network architecture, isolated networking in Azure, DNS (private DNS zones and private DNS resolver), routing, firewalls, network security groups, Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall.

  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.

  • Document processes, configurations, and procedures.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • NFQ Level 6 in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Microsoft Azure Administrator AZ-104 or higher certification.


Minimum 3+ years’ experience with the following:

  • Experience developing, extending, and maintaining software frameworks for tooling development, including designing and building frameworks, adding new functionalities, and ensuring their continued functionality.

  • Experience with Python development and Azure IaC development, ideally using Bicep.

  • Azure network design and configuration in a hybrid environment including Microsoft landing zone hub-spoke network architecture, isolated networking in Azure, DNS (private DNS zones/DNS resolver), routing, firewalls, network security groups, Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall.

  • Experience in the configuration and management of Azure environments including configuring and maintaining monitoring, logging and alerting.

  • Working autonomously to produce well engineered solutions and documentation.

 

Opportunity type: Contract (Initial 12 months), Hybrid in Dublin or Wexford
